Aloha Jump Time Cats ‘n’ Kittens, it’s time for Lee and Seema’s annual Jump Time Summer Luau!
Think swaying palm trees, Hawaiian shirts, leis, summer dresses and cool shades all to a rockin’ backdrop of the coolest sounds in the hottest wahi. Arrive between 7 & 8 for free entry in the Hiki Mua Bird Raffle with some super-duper kitschy prizes to be won.
If it’s swinging like a grass skirt on a hula gal it must be Tiki Time at Jump Time!!

Posted on June 10, 2009Another late summer swing event on 18 - 20 September in Edinburgh! There’s an early bird registration rate of £37 if you book before the end of June. People who went last year said it was great. Here’s what it says on their website:
ELX is one of the biggest social events in the Edinburgh swing calendar. A Weekend Extravaganza which is the perfect place to polish your dance skills and perhaps learn some new ones whilst meeting new people and fellow dancers from all over the globe. For beginners there is no better way to gain confidence and experience than getting out there and practicing with other dancers in a relaxed and friendly environment. For experienced dancers this is a fantastic opportunity to feed your passion for swing and strut your funky stuff. With a whole weekend of fantastic music in some of the coolest venues - you can dance till you drop!

Savoy Seaside Swing
Posted onOn 4th - 6th September, there’s a three day programme of lessons, bands and dances in the Savoy Hotel in Blackpool. You pay £199 for a fully inclusive half board weekend (i.e. your room, breakfast, an evening meal), with lessons from 12 noon, vintage films and clothing stalls in the afternoons, and three evening balls featuring live bands.
